DevGuide 3.0.1, only available on the Solaris 2.X operating environment, is primarily a port of version 3.0 to the Solaris 2 environment with some enhancements and bug fixes. Application developers are under increasing pressure to quickly deliver new products. OpenWindows Developer's Guide enables software engineers to graphically and interactively design, edit and test an OPEN LOOK user interface without writing a single line of code. Engineers are able to concentrate on their application code versus the user interface code. DevGuide 3.0.1 GUI builder supports the XView and OLIT toolkits allowing developers to choose the toolkit which best fits their needs. New features in DevGuide 3.0.1 include integration with the SPARCworks(TM) developer tools via ToolTalk(R), online AnswerBook(TM) documentation and new desktop integration widgets. DevGuide is available in 1, 10 and 25 user license configurations. The 25 user license product is only available through SunExpress. DevGuide GUI builder is a key component of Sun's developer strategy. An OPEN LOOK GUI builder eases the creation of new applications and the porting of existing application for developers making the Sun platform more attractive.
